The Orange County Taxpayers Association would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the legendary Henry Segerstrom, developer, philanthropist, and farmer. Mr. Segerstrom passed away at his home last Friday after a brief illness at the age of 91.
It is hard to imagine Orange County without South Coast Plaza, the highest grossing retail center in the United States with annual sales of $1.7 billion.
In the 1980’s he led the efforts to change the face of the Orange County cultural scene. With his subsequent donation of $51 million Henry Segerstrom gave Orange County what is now Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
OCTax is honored to have a long-standing relationship with C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, and we are grateful for Henry Segerstrom’s contributions to the business community and taxpayers of Orange County.
