Catalán believes government’s core mission is to provide strong public safety and meet the community’s infrastructure needs in a fiscally sound manner, always being responsible to the taxpayer. In 2022 she was chosen to lead OCTax and bring her respected style of leadership to the organization.

EXPERIENCE
A native of Southern California, Sara Catalán has more than 25 years’ experience serving in public policy and policy advocacy. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Davis and Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University, she served in both the state legislature and in Congress.
After concluding a successful career in the public sector, Sara started her own small business, Catalán Consulting, in 2020. Sara has focused on public policy issues including housing, education, water, construction and taxation.
Sara joined OC Tax as our new CEO in 2022 and serves as only our third CEO since our founding, more than 30 years ago.
